The exchange of ions across interfaces is key to the field iontronics, where properties device can be altered by local ion concentration. This study investigates a complex oxide system structural and electronic phase transitions driven changes in concentration oxygen ions. In situ coherent X-ray studies are conducted on epitaxial bilayers insulating SrCoO2.5 metallic SrCoO3 − δ. diffusion bilayer studied with photon correlation spectroscopy capture dynamical behavior interface reducing oxidizing environments. strongly asymmetric, much slower dynamics appearing versus According functions determined from different points reciprocal space, this finds that near center crystal generally similar those heterointerfaces. results suggest stable reversible, making SrCoOx model for iontronic behavior.
